How does it feel? (2022)

“How Does It Feel?” is a classic question in psychotherapy. At the outbreak of the war, the artist experienced a mix of intense emotions: anger, rage, hatred, pain, sadness, longing, and apathy. Over time, however, she began to notice something: with each flagrant crime committed by Russia, the meaning and significance of this list of emotions seemed to be erased, flattened. Photography thus became a way to share her feelings when words were no longer enough.
From this impulse emerged a deeply personal reflection on the painful events of the war through images, in which the artist documents her emotional responses to the Russian military aggression against her country. Through her practice, she seeks to transform pain, devastation, agony, anger, and hatred into art. In her vision, creation becomes an active process that generates vital energy, ultimately transforming death into life.
