Founded in 2012 by Alex Sala, LIBEROTRANSITO is a fluid and interdisciplinary artistic collective grounded in movement, exchange, and cross-pollination. Its practice moves across visual arts, performance, and urban space, adapting to different contexts.
The collective explores identity and transformation through participatory and site-specific interventions.
Active both in Italy and internationally, LIBEROTRANSITO favors experimental and relational processes, operating outside commercial dynamics.
CHRYSALIS (il tempio del cambiamento) [CHRYSALIS (The Temple of Change)] (2024)
CHRYSALIS (il tempio del cambiamento) is a video performance exploring metamorphosis as a bodily, perceptual, and spiritual process. The chrysalis becomes a vulnerable intermediary space — a temple where the body serves as a ritual vessel for transformation. The visual language moves between control and surrender, evoking a constant and fragile state of transition. Conceived as a sacred space, the body opens to a collective dimension in which personal transformation intertwines with shared experience. The work invites viewers into a contemplative immersion, where transition becomes a possibility for rebirth.
The video performance CHRYSALIS (il tempio del cambiamento) is participating in the fifth edition of the PremioSinestesie for L’Aquila, Italy’s Capital of Culture 2026.
