The project is the result of the expressive research carried out by the students of classes 4C, 3A, and 3B (school year 2025-2026) of the Graphics and Communication program at the Istituto “Don Milani” in Tradate.
The Istituto “Don Milani” stands out for its dynamic and forward-looking educational approach, aimed at combining theoretical knowledge with highly professional technical skills. In particular, the Graphics and Communication program is designed to prepare future professionals in the visual arts and communication fields through a strongly hands-on and laboratory-based approach.
Thanks to state-of-the-art facilities — including Mac-equipped laboratories with the Adobe Creative Suite for photo and video editing, a room dedicated to video and photographic production, and a printing laboratory — students can transform their ideas into concrete visual artifacts. Here, photography is not merely a technical practice, but a language through which to explore reality and identity.

Ex-Posta: Indossare la Visione (2026)

What happens when an image stops being something to observe and becomes something to inhabit?
The students of classes 3C, 3B, and 3A of the Graphics and Communication program — guided by their teachers Fabiano, Zaccari and Caielli — present an installation that explores the boundary between identity and representation. The project interprets the theme “ABITO” through a visual metamorphosis.
The image (taken from archival material) is decontextualized and applied to everyday garments such as T-shirts, hats and jackets. Through this process, photography is transformed: it is printed, sewn, glued, or pinned, becoming an integral part of the self. Wearing a photograph means making it intimate, protective and expressive.
The exhibition takes the shape of a wardrobe of memories, where each garment is accompanied by a label: a brief reflection revealing the deep connection between the chosen image and the person who decided to wear it. It is no longer just photography, but an act of appropriation that transforms the image into a garment of the soul.
